. A Unique Experience in Cooperative Living
Friends Housing was founded in 1952 by Quakers with a mission of creating affordable, urban housing for a diverse community.
We are collectively owned by resident members who work together for the continual prosperity of the complex.
Friends Housing Cooperative encompasses an entire city block of 1850's brick townhomes, surrounding landscaped grounds with courtyard.
The complex is composed of 83 uniquely designed 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units.
Laundry facilities are located on the premises.

Located amidst the dynamic Northern Liberties and East Poplar neighborhoods, Friends Housing Cooperative is conveniently located minutes away from the Center City business and shopping district.
Application Process
Obtain, complete and return buyer application available at the FHC office.
Credit, criminal checks and al verifications occur (all fees paid by applicant).
A completed application packet with all verifications is forwarded to FHC membership committee.
If all documents are in order, a meeting scheduled with the FHC membership committee.
The application packet is forwarded to the FHC Board of Directors for final review and decision.
Final determination is communicated to you.
